“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.“ Galatians 6:7 (ESV)
A watermelon seed will not bring forth blueberries. An oak seed (known as an acorn) will not bring forth kudzu (an invasive plant in the South). But why is it that we sow to the flesh and expect anything different to come from it? If you are wanting revival, awakening, city transformation, a 1 billion soul harvest, you MUST sow into it. A farmer cannot ignore this principle and then expect a great bountiful harvest, let alone, keeping his farm! The law of seed – plant (time) – harvest is in the very core of creation. From the very beginning we were told to be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28). Meaning we get to choose what we fill it with! We are on the verge of a great harvest. What has been sown, will be reaped! It doesn’t matter what your intention was, what matters is what you have sown. But it’s not too late to sow some seeds.
Ask God to give you wisdom to be a wise sower in this hour. Paul tells us if we don’t grow weary and give up, we will have a great harvest (Galatians 6:9). Pray for your pastor to have strength, grace, wisdom and courage to sow and keep sowing good seed until the harvest comes. Pray for churches around our city to be faithful in our sowing good seed, that we’d be ready for a bountiful harvest of revival in Athens and beyond!
