“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 ESV
There is a lot of smoke and mirrors happening right now! There is so much scripted acting being played out right before us, just like a stage. So much of what is coming out from media outlets, even the White House, and most politicians is fabricated lies. It is a narrative, filled with propaganda, to hide what is really going on.
Nevertheless, the threat is real, witchcraft is real, child blood sacrifice is real! The devil is real! Wickedness is real! The thief desires to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). False teachers, prophets and apostles are real (Matthew 7:17).
But God is also real! The Holy Spirit is real, and is desperately needed today! Jesus’ victory is real! The Bible is true and real! And those who follow Christ wholeheartedly will shine brightly in this dark generation (Philippians 2:15).
This is an hour where those who walk with Jesus need discernment to see through the smoke and mirrors, the distractions, the lies and half-truths. We need wisdom to navigate waters that have been poisoned and filled with false signs. Please do not believe what is coming out of the media or even the White House today. It almost seems that we need to take what they are saying and believe the opposite. And the very things they are denying or calling conspiracy we need to take a closer look at, because it is most likely the truth! The devil is a liar, and according to Jesus, that is his only language (John 8:44).
Ask the Lord for wisdom and clarity to see through the smoke and mirrors, lies and deception. Pray for your pastor to have discernment to see what is real and what is not. Pray that your pastor would trust the Lord and not what he sees with his eyes, hears with his ears or understands in his head. This is an hour when our trust in the Lord must be wholehearted. Pray that your congregation would step into this wholehearted faith. Pray that God would grant the church across the city a grace to trust Him, no matter what it looks like around us!
