“The LORD always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does.” Psalm 145:13b (NLT)

That is such a powerful passage. God ALWAYS keeps His promises! This means, out of His faithfulness He will do what He says He is going to do. He will come through. Though it may not look like what we expect or come in the timing we desire, He is faithful and will do it! Even in this season of darkness, understand He will come through. The dawn is coming! This also means we should be doubly concerned about what He has promised and continue to remind Him about it. The role of His intercessory children is to day and night remind Him of His promises until they are fulfilled (Isaiah 62:6-7). And many of these promises are connected to commands, saying if we do this, He will do that!

For example …

He promises that if we honor our parents, He will give us long life in the land (Ephesians 6:2-3). Definitely a command with a promise! Do all you can to fulfill it!

He promises that if we raise our children in the way they should go, they will not depart from it when they get older (Proverbs 22:6). He promises to rescue the children of warriors (Isaiah 49:25). He promises to bless those who love Him to the thousandth generation (Deuteronomy 7:9). So, if you have done these things, you have a place before God to remind Him of these promises! No matter where your children are today or what they are doing, remind Him and keep reminding Him until they are walking in the destiny that He desires for them!

He promises that if we tithe, that is give back to Him 10% of what we receive, He will pour out much blessing and even rebuke the devourer in our life (Malachi 3:10). Btw, that’s a good thing!

He promises that if we seek Him with all our heart we will find Him and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Jeremiah 29:13, Hebrews 11:6). Definitely something to do!

He promises that if we ask Him in Jesus name we will receive from Him what we ask (John 16:24). We all want to be effective in our praying!

There are many more promises that we can hold onto. Please take time to make a list of the promises in His word, especially the ones that jump out at you, and begin crying out from Him to fulfill them. But remember, if there is a prerequisite, do it! He is indeed, Faithful in all His promises and He desires out faith to grow as we pursue Him!!!
